I am so glad I live within walking distance from Buko Resto. This place is great! The food is delicious and affordable. The cocktails are made well and the bartenders are polite and they serve drinks quickly. The hookah bar has a good selection. And the layout and atmosphere is just awesome; it doesn't feel like you're in virginia beach.
I arrived at 2:30pm after a long day at work, I have to be at work at 5am, and after a doctor’s appointment. The reviews for food were great, some said the service was a little slow, but it’s right next to my house, so I stopped. The restaurant was empty with one couple already sitting alone eating their food. I placed my order and signed my receipt at 2:39pm. I didn’t leave until 3:35pm. I asked at the 50 minute mark if there was an issue, as it has been almost an hour. The food was delicious, so I am giving 4 stars. I would never order anything online, and I don’t plan to go back while hungry. Also, they add a 20% gratuity automatically. I asked them to remove it l due to my food being pickup. Glad I tipped only $5, as the meal nearly $40.
I tried the 10-piece lumpia and WOW so fresh, perfectly crispy, and full of flavor! The sweet chili sauce took it over the top… absolutely delicious. The food, the flavor, and the vibe all make me want to come back again and again. This definitely won’t be my last visit I’ll be ordering more for sure!
Didn’t try the food there yet, but I love the happy hour! It’s from 5-9pm and the lemon drops shots are my fave!
This place could be easily missed if you don’t know where to look since it’s co-located in a gas station parking lot. You can tell that this place is a popular weekend hot spot because they had a dj, offer karaoke and have a patio outside that has a ton of TVs for sports. The service was prompt and the food was good. I ordered the crispy pata and it was delicious as expected and came with garlic rice. The lumpia was tasty as well. I don’t remember what drink I ordered because the food stole the show. Just know that if you choose to sit at the enclosed patio, it’s smoker-friendly, that’s the only downside. It was a vibe but it stunk so badly because of the smokers. They didn’t tell us that it was smoker friendly and I’m surprised that they allowed it in an enclosed area. Other than that this place was amazing.
Shout out to Tuan , very helpful and friendly bartender. We enjoyed the food, tasted really authentic Filipino food, we ordered chicharon bulaklak , it tasted so crisp and lest fatty and the tapsilog, they do give a hefty serving, it was flavorful and the garlic rice was really good.
